Keeping Up with News on the Video Game Console |

I’ve owned a Xbox 360 with online services for over two years now and just yesterday I found something new within the many things possible with the Live features. There is a news section straight from MSNBC with video highlights of the week’s best stories. With a simple click of the controller, a video chronicling whatever the story may be about begins. There is even a section called Weird News. That was the most exciting discovery. One of my hobbies is browsing a blog on my laptop all about random, weird news from around the world. It could be something from an awkwardly worded business name to a kid with three arms to scientists working on invisibility technology.
Being able to now turn on the video game console and have instant access to these sorts of stories is just another reason I’m proud to call myself a gamer. There is so much more to video game consoles then multiplayer games. Pretty much every console out has little extras to make it a complete media experience. So here is to the evoltuion of gaming since Duck Hunt.
