A Moment in a Shooter Multiplayer Game |

The temperature of the arctic military installment can almost be felt through my flat screen as our team runs from its start point up into the warehouse massive bay sitting adjacent to a submarine docked in one of the inlets. I quickly climb the two stories to the second floor office that overlooks the left side of the map. There is always an enemy coming from this angle. The key is spotting their movement before they see me perched in the corner of the window. As expected a person pops there head out from a warehouse window across the way. I line him up in the iron sights and the surround sound captures the explosive AK-47 perfectly.
Being a competitive multiplayer game, only a few seconds go buy before a hidden enemy starts lighting up the office I’m crouched in. They can’t see me but know I’m there. When the bullets stop flying through the tin walls I pop out and return fire. Out of the corner of my eye, I see distant movement. Sniper! Too late. My body falls and the 7-second countdown to respawns begins. Just another multiplayer game match on the video game console.
