It is time for less lounging and more walking with the latest release in the Personal Trainer franchise. Released on Memorial Day, Personal Trainer: Walking is designed to get people to take at least 3000 steps per day. Coming with the 60-dollar game are two pedometers, which will wirelessly send your step count to your Nintendo DS Lite. Once you hit the 3000 step mark a green light will flash on the pedometer. Anything past that is just gravy on the mash potatoes.
This is not a complex game; it is one couch lizards to two year olds can pick up. Anyone that knows how to put one foot in front of the other fits into the Walking demographic. Think of this game as a goal setting tool for someone who wants to get into shape. With some standard Nintendo console animations, bright coloring and positive reinforcement this is a game for people with weight loss on their minds. Not a great Nintendo DS Lite game but one with a very specific niche. Personal Trainer: Walking is a cool idea to something as simple as using your legs. Look where the video game console has come.
