Catching Up While Playing Multiplayer Games |

Last night I was playing online multiplayer games on Modern Warfare, when a back home friend signed on. I love how Xbox Live alerts you when friends sign on. I haven’t seen him in months and heard through a friend that he just took a new job in Colorado. Wanting to get the scoop from him, I sent a party invite along with multiplayer games invite. After a minute, he signed onto the party. We had a quick conversation about what was going on and then started gaming. The cool thing about Party mode is that the only people that can hear the conversation or those invited in. We could talk to eachother when on different teams or when the other was sitting out a round.
I found out that he was packing up his stuff in Washington and getting ready to move just outside of Denver in five days. He was pumped after a long and hard job search after graduating college. It was nice to catch up with an old friend thanks to the help of a video game console. I have never been to Colorado but here it is beautiful. I joked with him about how much slower his motorcycle will be in the high altitude and to return the friendly poke, he smoked me during the last round of the multiplayer games. I wished him the best and figured next time I talked to him he’d be in Colorado.
